Grant gun licences to women for self-defence, says Min Anand Singh

Bengaluru: Minister Anand Singh has said that it would be better if women were given gun licences by the government to protect themselves.
The minister was speaking in reference to the gang rape case in Mysuru a few days ago.
“The gang rape was a heinous act and the culprits must be punished severely. Our government is committed to curbing such crimes. However, it is my personal opinion that it would be better if a woman was given a gun licence by the government to protect herself self-sufficiently from such vile acts,” Anand Singh tweeted.
