Gadag: Reacting to the statement made by Former Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy that BJP state in-charge, Arun Singh visits the state only to collect suitcase (funds), minister for social welfare and backward classes welfare, Kota Srinivas Poojary on Thursday said that unlike JD(S) there is no suitcase culture in BJP.

Speaking to the reporters, Kota said, ” The allegations made by Kumaraswamy are baseless. We do not have suitcase or bag culture in our party, it happens in JD(S). Also, we do not expect leaders like Siddaramaiah and Kumaraswamy, to praise the BJP’s administration. Their comments are unhealthy, and a befitting reply will be given to them in an appropriate forum.”

He further said, There has been a delay in releasing the student incentive. We will hold a meeting with the concerned at Bengaluru on Saturday, September 4 to release the money at the earliest.”

“Also, several complaints have been received regarding the delay in releasing of grants for residential projects. Concerned officials have been  suitably advised and the issue will be resolved soon. Problems regarding the hostels too will be addressed at the earliest,” he added.
