Ker students coming to Udupi must have COVID-19 -ve certificate, instructs DC Rao

Udupi: Deputy Commissioner Kurma Rao has instructed that all students coming to Udupi must possess a COVID-19 negative certificate that is not older than 72 hours.
Speaking at a news conference at the zilla panchayat building here he said, “Anyone who comes from Kerala or returns after visiting the State must undergo institutional quarantine for seven days.”
He added that essential services and items will be available during the weekend curfew and operation of e-commerce entities and home deliveries will be permitted.
“Udupi district is ranked first in the State in vaccinations with 92 per cent residents already vaccinated,” the DC said.
Superintendent of Police Vishnuvardhan said that eight border checkposts are working across the district to check the movement of people adding that six more check posts will be set up soon.
