Three BESCOM officials suspended for electricity bill fraud: Min Sunil Kumar

Bengaluru: Energy Minister Sunil Kumar has ordered the suspension of three BESCOM officials for electricity bill fraud.
The accused have been identified as Mehboob Pasha, Gayatramma, and Sujatamma, employees of the Mulagabilu subdivision. It is said that the accused used to modify the electricity bills of several commercial establishments.
The accused used different IP addresses to cheat the company and have modified several bills causing the loss of around Rs 5 lakh to BESCOM.
Sunil Kumar said that corruption in any department will not be tolerated and FIR has been lodged against them at Kolar Police Station. He also ordered a departmental inquiry and disciplinary action against the accused.
