Chikkamagaluru: BJP national general secretary, C T Ravi, said that he was never jailed for corruption or goondaism but only for protesting against wrong policies.

Speaking to the reporters, Ravi said, ” There are several cases against me for protesting on the basis of ideological differences. But I was never jailed for indulging in corruption or rowdy activities.DK Shivakumar had proudly claimed himself to be ‘shishya’ of Kotwal Ramachandra (notorious Bengaluru don). There is a book containing the names of Kotwal Ramachandra’s ardent followers, my name is not there in the list as I never considered goondaism as a merit for politics. Also, Kotwal died when I was in primary school.”

Talking about the rise in prices of commodities, he said, “It is a temporary phase. When Congress handed over power to the BJP, the LPG price was Rs 918 per cylinder. The price declined thereafter and saw fluctuations. The entire world is going through a global economic crisis due to Covid-19.”
