Bengaluru: Over 1 crore doses of the coronavirus vaccine have been administered in Bengaluru so far, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Chief Commissioner Gaurav Gupta announced on Sunday.
This includes 71,88,222 first doses and 29,00,836 second doses under BBMP, according to Co-WIN data.
“More than 1 crore doses only means that we will continue to vaccinate every eligible adult. We believe Covid-19 can be completely kept at bay when all of us are fully vaccinated,” Gupta said.
“Gratitude to all the BBMP officials, health officers, staff, and frontline warriors who have been endlessly working to provide vaccine for all. We will continue to work together and fight the Covid19 virus,” he added.
A total of 82.7 lakh people have been covered with the first dose while more than 32 lakh people have been fully vaccinated in Bengaluru Urban district.
Karnataka reported 1,117 new Covid-19 cases on Sunday, taking tally to 29,55,164 cases in the state so far.
