Mangaluru: Recently engaged woman reported missing traced to Gadag

Mangaluru: A woman who was reported as missing has been traced to Gadag, police said.

As per the complaint lodged by the missing woman Reshma’s mother, the 21-year-old woman had gone missing along with Rs 2 lakh worth of gold ornaments that had been gifted to her by the family members of boy who was supposed to get married to her.

It is now gathered that Reshma has tied the knot with a Akbar, who happens to be the son of her mother’s sister.

Reports state that Reshma’s mother is from the Muslim community and had changed her name Yashoda after her marriage to a person named Veeresh.

Meanwhile Barke Police said that they will take legal action as per the law.
