Mangaluru: A body of a young woman was found floating in the Netravati river on Sunday, September 12.

The deceased is believed to be between 30 to 35 years of age. The woman is wearing trousers and a t-shirt, has long hair and is wearing black bangles on one hand and a red color thread on the other.

A fishing boat that was returning after fishing in deep-sea saw the mortal remains of the woman floating in the river and informed Ullal Uliya residents. Two fishermen then brought the body to shore at Hoige Bazaar.

Pandeshwar police visited the spot and conducted an inspection. Police officials are yet to determine whether it is a suicide or unnatural death.
