Bengaluru: Rowdy-sheeter hacked to death inside a football stadium; 4 arrested

Bengaluru: Police officials have arrested four persons in connection with the murder of a 27-year-old rowdy-sheeter at Bengaluru football stadium on September 12.
The arrested accused are identified as Stalin, Jack, Arun and Vijay, residents of New Bagalur Layout near K G Halli in East Bengaluru.
The deceased identified as Aravind was a rowdy-sheeter at the nearby Bharathi Nagar police station and has 14 criminal cases against him.
It is said that Aravind had assaulted Stalin’s brother Subhash a few months ago and was arrested in the case. He had also assaulted Vijay six months back. Aravind was involved in other fights with Vijay and Arun.
The gang then decided to kill Aravind and were waiting for a chance.
On Sunday, September 12, Aravind had arrived at the BBMP ground located opposite the KSFA football stadium to play a six-a-side tournament.
Around 4 pm, four to five people surrounded him, Aravind ran to the stadium and locked himself inside the referee’s room. The assailants then broke in and killed him.
