Bengaluru: The Bangalore International Airport Limited has said that due to COVID-19, there has been a delay in the completion of Kempegowda International Airport’s Terminal 2.
As per airport authorities, the March 2021 deadline was pushed to March 2022 due to this. Being constructed at an approximate cost of Rs 13,000 crore, Terminal 2 will have a capacity to cater to 25 million passengers per annum and the entire terminal roof will also house solar panels.
The new airport terminal will consist of two levels, all arrivals on the ground floor while departure gates will be on the first floor. It will also have elevated walkways, gardens and artificial waterfalls.
