HDK lauds Governor Thavarchand Gehlot’s attempts to learn Kannada language

Bengaluru: Karnataka Governor Thavarchand Gehlot has reportedly begun taking Kannada language lessons, both in terms of speaking and writing.
Former Chief Minister H.D.Kumaraswamy and Pro-Kannada organisations have lauded Governor for his efforts in learning the regional language
Sources in the Raj Bhavan said that Teacher Jnanamurthy had visited Raj Bhavan and explained to the Governor about the history of the Kannada language. He also gifted Kannada language learning books.
“I am extremely happy after learning about Governor Gehlot’s attempts to learn Kannada language. It is commendable. Let the initiative by the Governor serve as an inspiration for the officers and bureaucrats who have come from other states and serving here,” tweeted Kumaraswamy.
Notably, Governor Gehlot has also attempted to reach out to the people of Karnataka by communicating in the local language through social media platforms.
