Gold worth Rs 14 lakh seized at MIA

Mangaluru: Custom Officers at Mangaluru International Airport seized 310 grams of gold (24 carat) valued at Rs 14,69,400 from a male passenger here.
The passenger, a native of Kasargod had arrived from Sharjah via Indigo flight on September 27 at 1900 hours.
The gold was concealed in powder form inside chocolate-colored trouser worn by the passenger.
A case of offense has been registered.
