Bengaluru: Gold worth Rs 61 lakh found hidden under aircraft seat at KIA

Bengaluru: Gold worth Rs 61 lakh has been found hidden under a seat of an IndiGo flight that had landed in Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport from Dubai.

It is said that the packet containing gold was found under an economy class seat during the inspection.

The customs officials are still considering whether a passenger abandoned the gold or left it for another gang member to collect.

Gold paste weighing 701 gm and 29 gold sticks weighing 599 gm, a total of 1.3 kg, were seized. The total value of gold recovered is Rs 61 lakh.
