Belthangady: Man held for sexual assault on minor girl

Belthangady: A man here was arrested by the police on charges of sexually assaulting a minor girl.

The accused has been identified as Nawaz from Bangerakatte in Machchina village in the taluk. It is said that Nawaz  sexually assaulted the girl on the pretext of love and then posed death threats.

Frustrated by the repeated acts of the accused, the girl informed the family. A complaint was registered at the nearby police station and the accused has been arrested.

Also, leaders of several Hindu organisations have extended moral support to the girl. It is said that the police had kept the matter hidden even after the complaint was filed. Now, the complaint copy and the photo of the accused have been uploaded on social media.
