Mangaluru: The cyclone Shaheen, which has been raging for the past few days, has affected air traffic in the region.
In the wake of the cyclone, flights to the gulf countries, including Oman, have been disrupted. The passengers traveling to Muscat from Mangalore International Airport (MIA) are stranded.
The plane to Muscat did not take off due to inclement weather caused by the cyclone, and the passengers had to wait all day at MIA. Reportedly, more than 100 passengers were stranded.
Oman had declared a holiday for Sunday and Monday as a precautionary measure.
