Moral policing: Bajrang Dal activists escort couple to station, land behind bars

Mangaluru: In a strange turn of events, two Bajrang Dal activists who took objection to a couple’s behavior in a public place here and escorted them to Kadri police station found themselves behind the bars.
The arrested Jayaprakash and Pruthvi have been booked under sections 153A, 341, 504,323, 506 and 34.
The incident took place on Wednesday, October 6 night near St Agnes College here. The activists reportedly saw the couple behaving in a vulgar way in a public place and told them to behave in a dignified manner. The duo later escorted them to the Kadri police station where the couple lodged a complaint of assault against them.
Acting on their complaint the police arrested the two Bajrang Dal activists.
It is said that the accused had manhandled one among two boys, who were speaking to three girls
