Gold worth Rs 43 lakh seized at MIA

Customs officials at Mangaluru International Airport on Friday seized 920 grams gold (24kt) valued at Rs 43.88 lakhs from a Dubai arrival here
The passenger, a native of Kasargod had arrived via Air India Express Flight No IX384 at around 0100 hours.
The gold was concealed in powder form inside specially stitched pockets in undergarments worn by the passenger.
An offense case has been registered.
