Mysore Dasara 2021: ‘Jamboo Savari’ to be live telecast for second time in row

Mysuru: For the second time in a row, Dasara celebrations have been scaled down due to the pandemic-induced restrictions.
The procession will be inagurated by chief minister Basavaraj Bommai by offering puja to the idol of goddess Chamundeshwari placed inside golden howdah mounted on elephant Abhimanyu at Mysuru Palace around 4.30pm on October 15.
Only five elephants will be participating in the Jamboo savari.
This year too general public will not be allowed to witness the grand celebration. However, the celebration will be telecast live on Facebook and YouTube.
Dasara procession is likely to last for 45 minutes and it will start at 4.36pm after traditional Nandi Dhwaja pooja.
