Bengaluru: Member of Parliament and BJP leader D.V. Sadananda Gowda opined that the allegations leveled in conversations between former Lok Sabha member V.S. Ugrappa and media coordinator M.A. Saleem should be investigated by an independent agency.
Further, he said that factionalism within Congress has led to its self-destruction.
“I don’t want to comment about the internal matters of Congress. But the conversation about D. K. Shivakumar by his own party members indicates internal conspiracy. The vertical division within congress between Siddramaiah and Shivakumar faction is clearly visible for everyone to see,” he said.
He was speaking to the media after reviewing the collapsed building in Kamala Nagar in Bengaluru.
DVS along with minister Gopalaiah visited the spot of the collapse and distributed Rs one Lakh as personal compensation to six families that lived in the building.
Evacuating the people as a precaution has saved many lives. Otherwise, there would have been a great disaster, he said.
He further promised to talk to the BBMP chief commissioner and officials to identify dangerous buildings and take stringent remedial actions.
