Puttur: Condemning the rape of a minor Dalit girl by RSS leader, Narayana Rai, the coordination committee of Dalit organizations held a mega protest meeting opposite rural police station, Puttur on Thursday October 21.
The protestors took out a procession from Darbe circle to the rural police station. They also raised slogans against the rapist.
The committee members alleged that Narayan Rai’s name was mentioned at the time of delivery but the medical officer and staff of Lady Goschen Hospital obtained a false statement signed by the victim in order to protect Rai and told the girl that the girl’s elder brother’s name is being heard in the case.

He also warned of a strong agitation at the state level if there is a delay in meeting these demands.
Anand Mittabail warned of a protest in front of the office of the deputy superintendent of police if the accused is not arrested within a week.
