Kundapur: Man arrested for peddling ganja, brown sugar

Kundapur: A man was arrested from Shastri Park here on the charges of smuggling drugs.

The person arrested is identified as Mohammed Jafar Gudumiya (28), a resident of Asbabagh, Binaga, Karwar in Uttara Kannada.

Kundapur sub-division DySP Srikanth K and the team of police personnel, during night rounds at Shastri Park, seized 1.810 kg ganja worth Rs 40,000 and 01-gram brown sugar worth Rs 10,000, two mobile phones, and Rs 1,500 cash from the accused.

The accused was later handed over to Kundapur police station.
