Coastal Karnataka expected to get heavy rains for four days

Mangaluru: Coastal Karnataka experienced thunder coupled with light showers on Sunday, October 31.
The meteorological department has predicted heavy rainfall coupled with thunder and lightning in coastal Karnataka, Malnad region, south and north interior Karnataka districts. Yellow alert has been issued for the next four days in these areas.
For Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada (DK), and Udupi districts located in the coast, a yellow alert has been issued for November 3 and 5, and an orange alert on November 4.
Shivamogga, Hassan, Chikkamagaluru and Kodagu districts in southern interior Karnataka, a yellow alert has been given from November 1 to 4. Yellow alert has been given for November 4 in Malnad districts and also Chamarajanagar, Bengaluru city and rural, Davanagere, Chitradurga, Tumakuru, Mandya, Chikkaballapur, Mysuru and Ramanagara districts too.
Dry weather will continue on November 1 and 2 in Bidar, Kalaburagi, Yadagiri, Gadag, Haveri, Dharwad, Belagavi, Koppal, Bagalkot, Vijayapura, and Raichur districts.
From November 3 to 5, these districts might get rain coupled with thunder and lightning while some areas may get just a drizzle, the department stated.
