‘Lasika Mitra’: Door-to-door Covid-19 vaccination drive in Mangaluru from Nov 10

Mangaluru: The Health and Family Welfare Department in association with Mangaluru City Corporation and National Service Scheme will launch ‘Mane Manege Lasikamitra’ campaign to administer the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine from Wednesday, November 10.
Speaking at the preparatory meeting of the vaccination campaign held on Monday, November 8, Dakshina Kannada district health and family welfare officer, Dr Kishore Kumar said, “The campaign will be launched in all the health centres within the city limits and in the next phase, the campaign will be extended to the entire district. There will be a training programme for the NSS volunteers of Mangalore University who will participate in the campaign.”
He further said that the programme is launched to make the district 100 per cent Covid vaccination compliant.
Covid district nodal officer Dr Ashok Kumar, MCC’s Covid department nodal officer Dr Annayya Kulal, district health education officer Jyoti K Ulepady, taluk health officer Dr Sujay, Mangalore University NSS coordinator Dr Nagaratna and others were present at the meeting.
