Dr Nagendra Kumar S, health officer of Bommanahalli alleged that Rajashekar, an outsourced data-entry operator,  misappropriated funds and failed to deposit fees, fines, remittances, and DDs to the BBMP commissioner’s bank account.

BBMP chief auditor had audited accounts for 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-2018 and found that Rajashekar,  had collected Rs 13 crore from 10,598 businessmen towards trade licences to run online businesses.

The issue was discussed at a meeting held by the special commissioner (finance), BBMP, on October 12.
