Udupi: An 8-year-old girl who was sitting pillion was crushed to death when a speeding concrete mixer truck hit the scooter she was on. Her mother, who was riding the scooter, was injured.
The deceased has been identified as Pranamya. She and her mother were going towards Ambagilu from Santhekatte when the incident occurred.
It is said that the concrete mixer truck hit their scooter and Pranamya who fell on the road was crushed under the truck.
A case has been registered.
