Mangaluru: Home guard dies while rescuing children from wasps attack

Mangaluru: A home guard died while rescuing children from wasps attack on Wednesday, November 17 near Ram Mandir, Kinnigoli.
The deceased has been identified as Santhosh (35), a resident of Kateel Devaragudde.
It is said that Santhosh was travelling in an auto rickshaw when suddenly a swarm of wasps attacked the children of a nearby school.
Santhosh rushed to their help and rescued the children. He then admitted them to the nearby hospital.
Santhosh was also stung by several wasps but rather than geting treatment for himself, he went home. At night he suddenly fell ill and died.
He is survived by wife, mother, and three children.
