Udupi: Two men duped of Rs 1 lakh with promise of jobs abroad

Udupi: Two men were duped of Rs 1,05,000 lakh by a man who promised them jobs abroad. A case was registered after one of the friends filed a complaint at the town police station here.

It is said that two men, Sunil (27), son of Sebastian D’Souza, residing in Janata Colony, Udyavar village and his friend Avinash were promised jobs abroad by a man who invited them to a lodge in Moodanidamboor on October 18, 2018.

The accused then collected Rs 45,000 from the complainant and Rs 60,000 from Avinash. After this, the accused never called back and is absconding.

A case has been registered and further investigations are underway.
