Punjalkatte: Hindu Jagarana Vedike leader, Jagadish Karanth, known for making inflammatory speeches has landed in trouble again.

Deputy Commissioner Dr Rajendra KV has filed a case against Jagadish Karanth for passing provocative comments against him at the public awareness programme held to highlight the need to stop quarrying activities at Karinjeshwara temple surroundings.

In his speech, Jagadish hit out against the DC of Dakshina Kannada and said that if he doesn’t stop the stone quarrying in the surroundings of Karinjeshwara temple hill we will gherao his office.

“Stop stone quarrying or take a transfer,” he warned.

He also requested thousands to come and gherao DC’s office if need be.
