Mangaluru police officials return Rs 2.9 crore worth stolen property to owners

Mangaluru: The city police officials on Thursday held ‘Stolen property exhibition’ wherein properties recovered from offenders by the cops were handed back to the victims, following due procedure of law.
The police estimated the stolen property to be approximately worth Rs 2.9 crore.
Properties including gold and silver ornaments, vehicles, and cash that were lost due to either theft, robbery, burglary, or attention diversion were recovered and returned back to their rightful owners.
Dakshina Kannada district deputy commissioner Dr Rajendra K V, City police commissioner N Shashi Kumar, deputy commissioner of police, Hariram Shankar, B P Dinesh Kumar, and others were present.
