Nagabana vandalism in Kulur, Kodikal; 8 persons arrested

Mangaluru: The city Police officials have arrested 8 persons in connection with the vandalization of Nagabana in Kulur.

The accused have been identified as Safwan , Praveen Monteiro, Mohammed Suhail, Nikilesh, Jayanth, Manjunath, Naushad and Pratheek.

The arrested were also named in the Kodikal Nagabana vandalization case, informed sources.

It is said that the arrested are ganja addicts. They committed this heinous crime only to divert the police’s attention from real issues.

More details awaited.

Miscreants had vandalized the Naga Bana at Kodikal on November 13 and Kulur on October 23. They threw and crushed the Naga idols using weapons.

Locals and Hindu organisations had sought immediate action against the miscreants.
