The big fat wedding of Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif has been a very secret affair and the Bollywood couple have reportedly even requested their guests to refrain from posting pictures or using social media for any of the ceremonies.
As per media reports, the reason for this secrecy is because they have sold the telecast rights of their wedding to Amazon Prime for a whopping Rs 80 crore. The wedding video, including Mehendi, Haldi, Sangeet ceremony will be streamed in early 2022.
Among the several news that did the rounds prior to the scheduled wedding was that the couple made their guests sign a nondisclosure agreement (NDA) to maintain confidentiality. Following this netizens created funny memes on internet.
This is not the first time that a Bollywood star has sold wedding telecast rights to an OTT platform. Earlier Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone had got similar offers but while Deepika-Ranveer refused, Priyanka-Nick did sign a contract.
The three-day wedding festivities of the couple began on Tuesday with a mehendi ceremony held at the posh Six Senses Fort Barwara, a Fort converted into a hotel in Rajasthan. The stars will be tying the knot on December 9.
