Mangaluru/Udupi: The mustering process for the MLC elections of local bodies was held at Mangaluru and Udupi on December 9.
Udupi Deputy Commissioner M. Kurma Rao visited the mustering center at the Udupi Taluk Office. He said that all the preparations have been done and the polling booths will be videographed.
Rao also warned of stringent action against those who violate the code of conduct.
Meanwhile, Dakshina Kannada district Deputy Commissioner K.V. Rajendra also visited the mustering centre in the taluk panchayat office in Mangaluru and inspected the activities.
Ballot boxes, ballot papers and other required materials were provided to the officials. Officials claim that all the polling booths will be sanitised and Covid protocol will be strictly followed.
