After receiving up to ten shots of the COVID-19 vaccination in 24 hours, a guy from New Zealand was labelled “unbelievably selfish.”

According to stuff.co.nz, the unnamed guy is now being investigated after officials discovered he had signed up for appointments at various vaccination centres.

The individual obtained the vaccinations on behalf of others so that they could claim to have been immunised. The Ministry of Health in New Zealand has launched an investigation as a result of this.

The issue is ‘very concerning,’ according to Astrid Koornneef, group manager of the Ministry of Health’s Covid-19 vaccine and immunisation programme.

“We are very concerned about this situation and are working with the appropriate agencies,” said Koornneef.

The health ministry has not stated where the instances occurred as of yet. They have, however, already recommended the man to seek medical counsel.

Helen Petousis-Harris of the University of Auckland said there was no specific data on taking so many immunizations in one day and that the man would probably feel ‘quite grotty’ the next day.

“We know that higher doses result in more general vaccine reactions, like fever and headaches and pains, so you might anticipate he would feel pretty grotty the next day,” she said.

This comes just a few weeks after New Zealand authorities were alerted that people were impersonating others to obtain Covid-19 injections.

According to reports, a representative for the Ministry of Health stated at the time that the Covid-19 vaccine and immunisation programme had already alerted cops to the suspected scam.
