BMTC reduces AC bus fares, rates of daily & monthly passes to be cheaper

Bengaluru: The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has decided to reduce Vajra AC bus fares by 34% from Friday.

The price of the Vajra bus day pass has also been reduced from Rs 120 to Rs 100. BMTC also slashed the monthly pass fare from Rs 2,000 to Rs 1,500.

There will be no changes in the fare till the third stage, for 6 km. Passengers travelling from the fourth stage (8 km) and beyond, will be charged less ranging from Rs 5 to Rs 40 depending on the distance travelled

The new fares don’t apply to the Vayu Vajra airport services. BMTC will also introduce 90 new Vajra buses on 12 additional routes, from 83 buses on nine routes.
