Bantwal: A few youths of the Billawa community were allegedly stopped from entering Kundadka Daivasthana at Vittlamudnoor village in Vittal on Friday, December 19.
It is said that two youths of the Billawa community went to the Daivasthana to offer prayers. They were accompanied by the president of the Brahmakalasha committee of the Daivasthana.
But, as soon as they reached the premises, the person who is said to be the in-charge of the daivasthana did not allow the two youths to enter. The person accompanying them also asked them to leave the premises.
The youth then complained to the leaders of the Billawa community who expressed outrage over the issue.
The person in-charge of the daivasthana was also contacted who said that it was the custom followed in the Daivasthana and also apologized for his behavior.
The Billawa community has warned of protests if Billawas are not allowed in Kundadka Daivasthana in the future.
