Bengaluru: Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has launched a mobile application, ‘EV Mithra’, to help locals locate the nearest electric-vehicle (EV) charging stations in the city.

The EV Mithra app is available for both Android and iOS users. People can locate the nearest EV-charging station using the app.

The EV-charging stations are open from 6am-10pm daily. Two charger models, AC001 and DC001, are available at the stations. The AC001 can charge three vehicles at a time and the DC001 can charge only one vehicle at a time.

A senior BESCOM officer said that 136 ports at 74 locations across Bengaluru have already been set up for charging electric vehicles and are also planning to set up another 300 EV-charging stations in the next few months.
