Several fast-food scandals have surfaced on social media throughout the years. While some of them were quickly forgotten or forgiven, this one involving a fast-food behemoth could be remembered for years. It may even make you avoid your favourite fried food altogether.

You’ve been given a fair warning.

Inside her hot wings box, a KFC takeaway customer from the United Kingdom discovered an entire chicken head wrapped in the batter. The head, replete with eyes and beak, is partially covered in crispy batter in this photo shot by the client.

Gabrielle, the customer, ordered the takeaway meal from a KFC location in Twickenham, England. She didn’t give a nice review, which is unsurprising. “In my hot wings dinner, I discovered a fried chicken head. I’m going to skip the remainder of my lunch, ugh “JustEast has her review.

Soon after the review was uploaded on the Instagram account ‘Takeawaytrauma,’ netizens expressed their outrage.

KFC has already responded to the claim on Twitter, stating that they are “baffled” as to how a client was delivered an entire head. The woman’s reply was described as “the most kind two-star review ever.”

“We were genuinely surprised by this photo. Since Gabrielle got in touch, we’ve been looking into how it happened,” the company told The Sun Online.

The statement added that the food ‘slipped through the strict processes and checks in place’ with suppliers, partners, and teams. “It’s one we’ve taken incredibly seriously – already putting further measures in place without suppliers as well as retraining our teams to prevent it happening again,” it added.

KFC allegedly contacted the customer and promised her free dinners. They also invited her entire family to the same takeaway restaurant to observe how meals are made.
