Bengaluru: Passenger at KIA conceals gold worth Rs 26.11 lakh in rectum; booked

Bengaluru: A female passenger has been apprehended at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) Bengaluru for attempting to smuggle gold worth over Rs 26.11 lakh.
The woman arrived from Sharjah by Air Arabia flight C9 498 on Tuesday evening. She was intercepted after custom officers found that the woman was behaving in a suspicious manner.
It is said that the passenger had concealed the gold, worth Rs 26.11 lakh, inside her rectum. The gold in paste form weighing 535 gm has been seized.
