Youth involved in pick-pocketing on Mangaluru-Bengaluru train held

Mangaluru: Personnel of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) have arrested a youth involved in pick-pocketing vanity bags, mobile phones of passengers traveling on the Mangaluru-Bengaluru train.
The accused has been identified as Abdul Aziz, 19, a resident of Gandhinangar in Sullia.
Over the last two months, several instances of pickpocketing were reported on the overnight train running between the Mangaluru-Bengaluru route. Following the passenger complaints, the RPF, under the guidance of ADGP Bhaskar Rao jointly with Mangaluru police constituted a team to nab the accused.
Aziz was apprehended at Mangalore Central railway station.
They confiscated Rs 1.75 lakhs in cash, 1 tab, 11 mobile phones, a vanity bag and documents belonging to victims.
