Koragajja shrine desecration: Arrested accused confesses to desecrating 17 other religious places including Ullal Mosque

Mangaluru: Police officials on Wednesday arrested a man on the charges of placing used condoms in front of Koragajja shrine at Marnamikatte under Pandeshwar police station limits here.
The accused identified as Devdas Desayi, a native of Hubbali has also confessed to desecrating 17 other religious places.
Devdas claimed that he placed used condoms and pamphlets containing articles on Jesus at these religious places. It is said that Devdas father, John Desayi had converted to Christianity, he too practiced the same and often used to pray at his house.
In his confession, Devadas said, “ I used to put unclean offerings at unclean shrines because Bible says that God has pushed bad spirits out of this world and If one has to find salvation during the end of the world people have to venerate Jesus. I do not regret what I have done.”
Police commissioner N Shashi Kumar said ruled out the possibility of the accused being mentally unstable and said that the accused was very accurate about the offence he has done and the locations.
He has confessed to desecrating the following places:

Kondana Temple
Mangaladevi Temple
Donation box placed near Kadri Temple
Kallurti shrine, Pumpwell
Mosque near Ullal Darga
Naga Bana, Kallapu
Kallurti Temple, Kottara Chowki
Donation box of Urwa Marigudi Temple
Koragajja shrine, Kuttar
Kudupu Temple
Koragajja shrine, Ullal
Nandigudde Koragajja shrine
Darga near AB Shetty circle
Sikh Gurudwar, Bengre Kulur
Kote Shri Babbuswamy Daivasthana, Monkeystand
Adi Maheshwari temple, Jeppu Mahakalipadpu
