Kundapur: In a tragic incident, a two-and-a-half-year-old toddler lost his life after he accidentally fell into a cow dung pit.

The deceased is Anuraj (2.5), son of Lal Bihari (26), a resident of Molahalli.

Reportedly, the incident happened while Anuraj was playing near the cow dung pit near his family’s cattle shed in which the wastewater used to accumulate.

Lal Bihari used to empty the pit every day, but on January 4, he could not do so as there was no electricity.

When they found Anuraj’s footwear near the pit suspicious Lal Bihari searched in the pit and found his child unconscious. Though he was rushed to a hospital, the doctors declared him brought dead.

Kota police have registered a case in this regard.
