Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally at Ferozepur was postponed citing security lapses during the prime minister’s travel in Punjab on Wednesday.
Modi, who was travelling by road in Punjab, was stuck on a flyover for 15-20 minutes due to blockade by some protesters.
In a statement, the Home Ministry said after the ”major security lapse” in the prime minister’s travel in Punjab, his convoy decided to return.
According to news agency ANI, PM Modi on his return to Bhatinda airport told officials there,“Apne CM ko thanks kehna, ki mein Bhatinda airport tak zinda laut paaya.” (Say thanks to your CM for I could return to the Bhatinda airport alive).alive-modi-to-officials-after-security-lapse-in-punjab-1068199.html
