COVID-19 scare : BJP ‘Chintan Baithak’ postponed

Bengaluru: The three-day BJP ‘Chintan Baithak’ (brainstorming session), to be held in Bengaluru from January 7 to 9 has been postponed amid the third wave of Covid.

State president Nalin Kumar Kateel informed that they decided to indefinitely postpone the Baithak due to increasing covid cases in the state.

During the Baithak the leaders had planned to discuss how to boost the party’s performance ahead of the forthcoming polls to the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike, zilla and taluk panchayats and also the 2023 Assembly polls in Karnataka.

Fresh COVID-19 cases in Karnataka nearly doubled in 24 hours to 4,246 and reported two deaths on January 5, taking the count to 30,17,572 and the fatalities toll to 38,357.
