Puttur: Miscreants attack three fish merchants with swords, rods; Two arrested

Puttur: Police officials have arrested two people on charges of attempting to kill fish merchants on December 6, 2021.
The arrested accused have been identified as Sarfuddin (31), resident of Kuppetti Baitaru Mane in Tannirupantha village of Beltangady and Mohammed Irfan (24), resident of Kolpe Kolambe Mane of Konalu village in Kadaba taluk.
It is said that the accused raided a fish shop and attacked Ashok alias Anil Kumar, his elder brother Mohandas and customer Mahesh with a sword.
Earlier on December 5, three people were attacked with swords, rods by a mob of 60 bike-borne men at Andthadka of Ilanthila village.
It is said that Abdul Zacharia was speaking to his friend Siddique near a grocery store when the miscreants arrived on their bikes and began attacking them.
Now, as an act of revenge, Sarfuddin and Irfan attacked Ashok, Mohandas and Mahesh.
A case has been registered.
