Kollur: Bus carrying pilgrims overturns; Several seriously injured

Kundapur/Kollur: Several pilgrims to the Kollur temple were seriously injured as a private bus ferrying them from Singandur overturned near a bend on the evening of January 11.

As many as 22 passengers injured in the accident were rushed to a government Hospital in Kundapur.

Sankrappa (50), Roopa (35), Shyamalamma (42), Ratnamma (52), Venkataramana (45), and Chandrakala (43) who sustained serious injuries were shifted to another hospital for further treatment. The injured are reportedly from Mulubagilu in Kolar.

The district administration provided timely help to the injured.

Kollur police along with locals used JCB to move the overturned bus aside and ease traffic.
