Hassan: A mob in Hassanstripped and brutally thrashed a man for allegedly harassing a girl at the Maharaja Park in Hassan.
A video of the incident has gone viral on social media.
The man identified as Meghraj, a construction worker hailing from Vijayapura was assaulted by the mob and paraded naked for harassing a girl. Police soon arrived at the spot, controlled the situation and took Meghraj into custody.
Police said that the girl has not given any complaint against Meghraj.
Meanwhile, Meghraj has filed a police complaint about the mob assault following which police have registered an FIR against four unknown persons
