Mysuru zoo celebrates 9th birthday of gorilla named ‘Demba’

Mysuru: Mysuru zoo held special celebrations on the ninth birthday of one of the gorillas at the zoo named named ‘Demba.’
The zoo staff arranged Demba’s favorite vegetables to say “Happy Birthday Demba” while tourists clicked videos and photos on their mobiles.
Mysuru zoo is the only zoo in India to shelter Gorillas. The gorilla enclosure at the zoo was vacant for seven years after the death of the gorilla named ‘Polo.’ Last October, the two male gorillas at the zoo, Demba and Tabo (14 years) were brought in from Germany.
