Puttur: Police arrest two for issuing death threat to businessman

Puttur: Police have arrested two persons allegedly for extortion and issuing death threats to a businessman.
The arrested identified as Kalandar Shareef alias Shafi, a resident of Bantwal and Hasanabba alias Hasan alias Achhu from Mangaluru have been booked under sections 504, 506, 507 and 387 0f IPC.
Based on credible information, police arrested the duo and recovered Rs 50,000 cash, a car and mobile phones from their possession.
Reportedly the arrested had sought to extort Rs 13,00,000 from the victim.
