Controversial remark: Rishkumara Swamiji arrested

Srirangapatna: Police have arrested Rishikumara Swamiji for his provocative and incendiary remarks about a mosque in Srirangapatna.

There was a huge outcry and outrage against Rishikumara Swamiji, the pontiff of the Kalimatha, after his video calling for the demolition of the mosque in Srrangapatna the way Babri Masjid was demolished, started circulating on social media. The police immediately swung into action and arrested Rishikumara Swamiji in Chikkamagaluru.

Sources said he is being interrogated at Srirangapatna after completing a medical checkup. He will soon be produced before the court, sources added.

Bail application filed:

It is learnt that advocate Belaraju the counsel representing the seer has filed an application for his release on bail.
