Delay in declaring KPSC results: Ex-minister Suresh Kumar urges CM to expedite

Bengaluru: The inordinate delay in declaring the KPSC exam results have prompted former minister S Suresh Kumar to write to Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

On Monday, Suresh Kumar wrote a letter to the Chief Minister asking to expedite the announcement of results and relieve the talented aspirants from the cruelty of waiting years together to know their fate, DHNS reported.

The Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) had notified the exams in 2017 for filling up 106 posts in the state government. But the preliminary examinations were held on August 24, 2020. Main examinations were held on February 2021.

Coming down heavily on the slow working of the commission, Suresh Kumar said that he had been informed by sources that evaluation hasn’t been started. “Though main exams were held 11 months ago, the results are not out or according to insider information even evaluation had not started,” he added.

KPSC is failing to provide officials for state administration on time, he accused and noted the absence of a full-time examination controller at the commission as the chief reason for the slow pace.
